Very simply, we live at a juncture of history not at all dissimilar from Elijah’s day. Upon Mount Carmel he issued this challenge to the apostate Israelites: “And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken (1Ki 18:24).†The story ends with the Baal’s silence and Jehovah’s thunderous flame. God won…even with the rather disproportionate representation for Jehovah (it was something like Elijah vs. 850 pagan priests).
When the Planned Parenthood sting video broke three weeks ago, many believers grieved over the haggling for babies’ body parts, but there was also a sense of joy; joy that finally the monstrosity of the worldwide abortion industry was finally being seen in all its heinous greed.
