It’s been a few years since I’ve taken the time to record music. But I’m back, and whether its better than ever, I’ll leave to your discriminating taste. I have one tune that will be rolling out, Lord-willing, right in time for Christmas. I composed a version of the Magnificat. The Magnificat is the prayer of thanksgiving which Mary prayed upon the Angel Gabriel’s glad tidings that she would bear the Christ child. I wanted to keep it as close as possible to the original text of Scripture, while arranging it in a more hymn-like structure.
Undertaking a project like this, and the future musical ventures I hope to follow it up with, doesn’t happen because of a large spoonful of fairy dust.
